The McClary Wedding

Oh my, you guys. This wedding was perfect. I’ve always loved Sunday Park, but being a part of an incredible wedding on a gorgeous summer night made me fall even harder. You just can’t beat the view. It’s out of a magazine. Sun set on the lake, cute little boats floating around, and beautiful trees made it so easy to take pictures. There wasn’t a bad background in sight. I know Brittany and James will cherish these photos for a lifetime.

Brittany and I met at Longwood when we were both studying to become teachers. Her and James are two of the most low-key and low-stress people I have ever met, and this was hands down the most stress-free wedding I have ever been a part of. That was partly due to the amazing staff at the Boathouse at Sunday Park...but mostly because of the calm spirit of Brittany and everything she had planned.

Everything about Brittany was breathtaking! She made a flawless bride. Her hair and make-up were done so well by Kelsea Dayberry with Radiant Reflection. The lace and detailing on her dress was absolutely stunning!

The couple chose to have a smaller wedding ceremony with no bridal party. There were about 75 guests total, and it made for such a lovely, intimate time together. I know that one of the most stressful things about my wedding day was feeling bad for not being able to spend more than 10 seconds with each guest that came out to celebrate with us. So, I really thought this was such a special and unique part of their big day.

The details and colors of this wedding were something out of my wildest wedding photography dreams. I spent months and months planning a styled shoot with such similar details and to see it actually come to life at a real wedding was so awesome. The muted green eucalyptus and fluffy pastel florals were perfectly placed in her bouquet and all around the venue. Designs by Janice hit it out of the park with the florals arrangements. The details continued all the way to the dessert table by Baker's Kitchen next to the delicious colorful macaroons and mouth-watering dessert options. Guests kept going back for more yummy treats all night.

Brittany and James’ guests knew how to DANCE, which makes all the difference at a wedding reception! A great time was had by everyone dancing the night away. We capped off the fabulous night with a glowstick exit to send the new Mr. and Mrs. on their way!
