The Tomlin Wedding

We don’t always do December weddings, in fact, it's been years. However, after this past weekend - I think it might be one of my new favorite wedding months. All the rich and bold colors, chill in the air and glowing stringed lights…it doesn’t get much better than that.

Carson and Lydia are two of the most “in love” newlyweds that I have ever been around. Their happiness is contagious. They are filled with true joy, a joy which only comes from the Lord. Their big day took place at their home church. When I arrived, worship music was playing - everyone was smiling, laughing, relaxing and soaking in all the memories of the day.

Once everyone finished getting ready, Lydia had a special moment with her dad. They shared a “first look” time together. Both had tear filled eyes and I just knew what a sweet bond this daddy and his little girl had. Before the ceremony started, Carson and Lydia had a private moment where they read letters and prayed over each other. The couple wanted to save Carson seeing his bride when she walked down the aisle.

The ceremony was decorated so beautifully and it was truly a time of worship and a beautiful picture of Christ and the church. What an incredible way to start the next season of life. Lydia’s dad had the privilege of walking her down the aisle and marrying the couple. What a special gift.

Following the ceremony, the bride and groom got to spend some time together taking pictures and just celebrating the union that God created! The reception was filled with beautiful winter touches. A bonfire with smores, blankets, heaters and all things cozy! The couple danced the evening away before their sparkler exit.

I can’t wait to see what is in store for the Tomlins. It will be a joy to watch!
