The Hallmark Christmas Wedding

Sometimes when you get a certain vision, and you can’t seem to let it go...you shouldn’t. This summer I knew that I wanted to create a Christmas inspired wedding. I had the chance to connect with the owners of The Venue at Orchard View Farm this past summer and knew that this venue would be able to make my vision come to life.

We collaborated with the most wonderful vendors this past fall to put together what I like to call a “Hallmark Inspired Christmas Wedding.”

In my opinion, an invitation suite sets the tone for an event. This gives your guests a glimpse into your vision and inspiration for the atmosphere you are trying to create. My go-to gal for custom creations and invites is Aisha with Designs by Aisha. It was as if she read my mind. She absolutely nailed it. Not only is she insanely talented, but also just the sweetest person. Kristina from Lemon Lane Cakes made the most perfect Red Velvet Christmas Inspired Wedding Cake. The invitations and cake all in one spot made for one GORGEOUS cake table.

The vendor connections that I’ve been able to make while in the wedding industry are priceless and I love that I have an arsenal at my fingertips whenever I need help with an event. Another secret weapon that I have is my insanely talented sister-in-law, Katherine. She designed and created the entire table scape and details. Just think about how amazing her home looks if this is the kind of eye she has. She’s incredible at what she does.

The main event of the day, as always, is the bride and groom. We worked with Island Glow for hair and makeup. The red lips sealed the deal for nailing the perfect Christmas look. Double Tree Farm helped us take this shoot to a whole other level with their beautiful horses and goats.

The main purpose for many styled shoots is to collaborate with vendors and promote each other's businesses through shared images and social media. The big goal for this shoot was to be shared on an even larger level, and because of these awesome vendors, we actually did it!! This stunning wedding was used by Virginia Bride Magazine for their Christmas Inspired Wedding Blog. That can be seen here.
