Waterfront Mini Sessions

What a GREAT night!! They were calling for isolated thunderstorms, so we had been watching the weather for a few days leading up to our mini session date. You know what that means, no guarantees for much of anything.

After checking my weather app a million times, I decided we should go for it, and I am so glad that we did. The storms cooled things off about 10 degrees (hello mid July heat!). It was storming on the other side of the river, you could see the rain and lighting but it was dry on our side of the river. I am SO thankful for the weather holding out for us.

This evening was filled with such sweet families that are so dear to me! I love that I was able to capture an expecting mama, newborn, toddlers, kiddos, BIG KIDS, and moms and dads! It truly is such a treat to photograph so many people in so many seasons of life.

Summer mini sessions are always some of my favorites because they tend to be more on the casual side and the kids can just be kids. Throwing rocks, putting their toes in the sand, and being themselves make for great pictures!
